JAMMU, Jan 5: Tawi Andolan, a non-governmental organization dedicated to the cause of Tawi purification, has decided to approach all political parties of the State with a request to include rejuvenation of Tawi and other rivers in their agenda.
This was disclosed by Chander Mohan Sharma, convenor of the Tawi Andolan, while addressing Tawi Aarti participants at Vikram Chowk Jammu.
Expressing serious concern over illegal occupation on the river basins, he informed that the Tawi Andolan will approach the new Government for removal of encroachments and a thorough inquiry to expose the elements responsible for such illegal practice.
Mr Sharma also drew attention towards the miseries of flood victims, who are still waiting for their rehabilitation.
