This has reference to the news item ‘Jadeja, Axar make cut for World Cup’ DE Jan 7.
It was quite shocking to learn that Yuvraj Singh has not been selected in India’s 15 member squad for the Cricket World Cup to be held in Australia and New Zealand from next month.
One wonders why ace-cricketer Yuvraj Singh was ignored for the cup. Though he was not playing test cricket, his performance in the recently held Ranji Trophy was terrific. He scored three back to back centuries in the Ranji Trophy matches.
His contribution to Indian Cricket is immense, and one can not ignore his valuable contirbution during the last world cup matches.
The selectors should have included in him in the team His absence could affect the morale of the team, and it is requested that he be given a chance to exhibit his talent, and serve the country.
