DGFT organizes export awareness programme for CCI

JAMMU, Jan 10: An export awareness programme, under Niryat Bandhu Scheme was jointly organised by DGFT Jammu Ministry of Commerce, Govt of India and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu, regarding incentives and facilities being provided by the office of the DGFT for the exporters.
Dy Director General, Foreign Trade Jammu, Amit Kumar while speaking on the occasion, explained many things related to foreign trade to the members of trade and industry Jammu. They were also educated about what to export, ITHS codes, how to know import duty on products, Central Excise, Customs, Export Inspection Agencies, Export Promotion Council, Export Credit Guarantee Corporation, type of risks covered by ECGS, types of trade finance from banks, Custom House Agents, logistic and transport firms, freight forwards, packing firms market access initiative, market development assistance, Central Duty Fund / Exemption Schemes/ EPGS Scheme, special economic zones etc.
In his address, Rakesh Gupta, president CCI Jammu urged upon the DyDG DGFT to help the Jammu Chamber and get an Export Promotion Council sanctioned for Jammu and also help in according ‘Town of Export Excellence’ to Jammu. Arun Gupta secretary general accorded vote of thanks.
Prominent among others present on the occasion included Amit Kumar, ITS DDGFT, Ramesh Kumar Verma ITS, Asstt DGFT, Aruna Narula PS Jt DGFT, Deepak Aggarwal and Rahul Mahajan.
