JAMMU, Jan 10: In mysterious circumstances, a local passenger was today found unconscious in a Jammu-Jalandhar bus at general Bus Stand here.
According to a police spokesperson, the man identified as Sughandi Lal son of Thoru Ram, a resident of RS Pura was found in unconscious condition by co-passengers at a Jammu-Jalandhar bus this afternoon, when the bus reached the general Bus Stand. They informed the driver of the vehicle who shifted the unconscious man to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
As the man was still unfit for giving statement, the reasons for his unconsciousness could not be ascertained, the police said, adding a case in this regard has been registered and further investigations are on.
Meanwhile, a man identified as Subhash Chander (50) son of Mani Ram, a resident of Dogra Mohalla (Canal Road), was shifted to GMCH by his family members due to alleged alcoholic poisoning. The person was unfit for giving any statement when the last reports came in. However, the Canal Road police has taken cognizance of the matter.
