RAJOURI, Jan 10: Five buffaloes were charred to death while some household items also destroyed in a fire incident in Thannamandi area of district Rajouri last night.
Reports said that fire spread in the house of one Mohd Akbar, son of Mattu, resident of Lower Pangai at around 10 pm. The LPG cylinder caught fire and the family members and few guests who were taking tea at that time, ran away for safety. Entire thatched house was caught in big flames. The fire spread in the entire adjoining portion of cattle shed. Five cattle were charred to death on the spot besides some chickens and other household items also got perished. The police has taken cognizance.
