Srinagar, Jan 10: One person died while seven others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
A police spokesman said Mohammad Altaf Mir son of Ali Mohammad Mir of Goripora, Bomai died in an accident after a Tata 407 lorry JIK05-6470 turned upside down near Zirdari crossing in Bomai, Sopore. Two others men were also injured in the accident who have been were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Sopore for treatment.
Five persons were injured when a Tata Mobile JK01J -8117 driven by Hilal Ahmad Shah of Shajimarg, Pulwama hit a Maruti car JK13-8237 driven by Showkat Ahmad Ganie of Aribal, Pulwama at Khanda, Chadoora.
The spokesman said five persons boarding the Maruti car were injured, who were immediately shifted to Bone and Joints and SMHS hospitals in Srinagar for treatment.
The spokesman said police has registered cases in these accidents.
