GEJAC demands release of employees’ 17% DA

JAMMU, Jan 10: J&K Govt Employees Joint Action Committee has urged upon the State Governor N N Vohra to release the pending installments of 10 % and 7 % in favour of State employees and pensioners without any further delay.
The Joint Action Committee members in a meeting held today under the presidium of Amrik Singh, Ganesh Khajuria, Balwinder Singh, Ravi Singh Bahu, Dharminder Singh and Jagdish Raj Sharma, discussed the pending issues of the employees. They alleged that previous NC-Congress Government has cheated the employees for not fulfilling agreement which had been duty signed by the cabinet sub- committee. Both the parties have been shown their place by the employees in the recent elections.
The EJAC leaders urged upon the State Governor to look into the genuine demands of the employees and pensioners and release pending 17 % DA installments in their favour. They also demanded regularization of casual, contractual daily wagers and other consolidated employees/ workers, removal of pay anomalies of the clerical cadre, additional budgetary support to PSUs and enhancement of Medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month for employees and pensioners.
