JAMMU, Jan 11: A man died today due to electrocution at his residence in Bahu Fort area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the man identified as Raj Kumar (34) son of Yash Pal, a resident of Kuccha Talab in Bahu Fort area, fell unconscious after getting an electric shock while changing an electric bulb at his residence, this morning.
In unconscious condition, the victim was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, by the family members but doctors declared him as brought dead. The dead body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary room of GMCH for post mortem and other legal formalities.
The Bahu Fort police has taken cognizance of the matter.
