JAMMU, Jan 18: Axis Bank has showed healthy earnings in terms of growth in revenues for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2014.
According to a handout, the bank posted a healthy growth of 18 percent in its net profit of Rs 1900 crores. Bank’s Retail franchise continues to show robust growth as Savings Bank Deposits grew by 15 percent and Retail Term Deposits grew 24 percent. The Bank’s Operating Profit for third quarterly grew by 27 percent to Rs 3,315 crores. The key contributor to the fee income of the Bank was Retail Banking, which grew by 41 percent.
During the quarter, trading profit of the Bank was Rs 329 crores. During the third quarter, the Bank added 53 branches to its network across the country and at the end of the calendar year, it had a network of 2,558 domestic branches and extension counters and 12,874 ATMs situated in 1,708 centres, compared to 2,321 domestic branches and extension counters and 12,328 ATMs situated in 1,580 centres last year.
