JAMMU, Jan 18: Heart Diseases Awareness Camp was organized at Chak Salarian and 200 patients were attended during the Camp, here today.
The Camp was organized under the supervision of Dr Sushil K Sharma, Head, Department of Cardiology Govt Medical College Jammu along with a team of doctors which included Dr Nasir Choudhary, Dr Mohi Kalsotra, Dr Arjun Singh, Dr. Atul Vij and paramedics including Kashmiri Lal and Joginder Singh. Volunteers including Gourav Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, Atul Gupta, Aman Gupta and G L Sharma were also present on the occasion.
Dr. Sushil while examining the patients during the Camp elaborated the need for early diagnosis and management of cardiac diseases because if not diagnosed or treated in time can lead to mortality and morbidity to the patient.
The patients were given benefit of diagnostic tests like ECG, biochemistry and free medicines were also distributed.
Residents of the area including Vijay Kumar (Sarpanch), Soni Sharma, Ved Prakash and Swaran Singh expressed their gratitude to Dr Sushil and his team for their kind and noble endeavour.
