BARAMULLA, Jan 19: A medical-cum-veterinary camp was organized by Army under Sadhbavana at Delina area in Baramulla today.
An official said a joint team of doctors from Army and Civil Administration including lady doctors, nursing assistants and paramedics participated in the event to provide medical assistance to 623 people including men, women and children.
“457 livestock were also treated at the camp. A team of one veterinary doctor and two assistants were present to treat the livestock,” he said.
The Army has been regularly organizing medical camps in the strife torn areas of Baramulla District.
He further said, the general populace in these areas is greatly benefited by these camps as there is a lack of medical facilities in these areas, adding that these camps also help in establishment of a rapport between the public and the Army.
