Indian army needs to be highly complimented for stopping the ceasefire violations and infiltration attempts of terrorist from across the border. Pakistan army has always tried to create disturbance in Indian Territory but has always failed and will fail like this in future also till our security forces are protecting our borders.
As Pakistan had attacked about 28 BSF Post till January 4, 2015 and one of our BSF jawan Devinder Singh who was manning forward at Khwara post in samba sector, was killed in intense shelling by Pakistan army rangers. Singh was posted with 9BSF and he hailed from Aligarh, U.P. Like this one more jawan was martyred while protecting our borders and a woman was also killed at Hiranagar Sector. On the other hand Pakistan is claiming that its 2 civilians were killed by BSF firing at Zaffarwal sector of Sialkot.
Another Infiltration attempt was foiled by BSF on January 6, 2015, it was the fifth infiltration attempt made by Pakistan army on International Border (IB) in Hiranagar and Samba sector. This time our BSF jawan forced a group of 4 to 5 militants to retreat back to Pakistan from where they had come. While bomb disposal squads have diffused more than dozen live 82mm mortar shells in the populated villages in Hiranagar and Samba sector.
Recently, on January 11, 2015 Army arrested a militant along the Line of Control (LOC) in North Kashmir. Army sources said that Army’s 5/5 GR carried out search operation in the forest. One militant Shoukat Ahmad of South Kashmir District of Shopian was arrested during searches.
An FIR was lodged against him in the Police Station Karnah in District Kupwara. Sources said that Shoukat had gone for arms training last year to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). He has been handed over to the police and brought to Joint Interrogation Center (JIC) Kupwara.
In these ceasefire violations the people who are living around border have to suffer a lot as 10,000 people have migrated to relief camps. Deputy Commissioner Samba Mubarak Singh has said that till date around 5,000 people have been migrated from forward villages to 9 relief camps, three each in Samba, Garhwal and Ramgarh. Likewise Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Dr. Shahid Iqbal said in the wake of intensive shelling in Hiranagar sector of Kathua District, more relief camps have been opened to accommodate people leaving there houses.
The ruling Governor of Jammu and Kashmir N N Vohra has been visiting these relief camps and closely monitoring on whetherthe facilities are being provided to the people living in relief camps.
This is not for the first time that the Pakistan Army has tried to violate the cease fire act and create disturbances in Indian Territory. In the last year, around 550 such cease fire violations were registered. But this is for the first time that the Government of India has ordered Army to give a befitting reply to Pakistan Army. This time Pakistan is doing cease fire violations so that they can get hold on the Jammu-Pathankot highway so that there would be no medium of connection between J&K and India. And this time they also are upset about United States President Barack Obama’s visit to India on Republic Day. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has raised the question of Jammu and Kashmir at the UN and asked for the support of U.S but the U.S have refused to give any support and said that this is a bilateral situation and they should resolve it out peacefully, but as we can see Pakistan does not understand the meaning of peaceful discussion.
Recently, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif blamed India for conducting terrorist activities in Pakistan with the help of Afghanistan.
At last I just want to say this that Pakistan needs to understand that no matter how many attempts they make for creating disturbances in India they will always fail like they did in 1947 war, then in 1971 Bangladesh War, Kargil war and in all those ceasefire violations that they had attempted until now. All we can say that violence is no solution. Both the countries should sit and talk and should enter a warm relationship of friendship and should establish peace with each other.
