Shaheen’s concern over non-availability of food grains at ration depots

BANIHAL, Jan 21: National Conference (NC) leader, Sajjad Shaheen today expressed concern over non-availability of food grains at CAPD sale outlets of Banihal, saying this has caused enormous difficulties for the ration card holders.
In a statement issued here, Shaheen urged the administration to streamline the system and ensure adequate availability at the sale outlets; especially those located at far off places end enforce accountability, as the consumers are made to wait for supply for several days.
Sajjad Shaheen also urged the administration to ensure free ration to rain and flood hit people of the constituency, which had been announced by the former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
He also exhorted the administration to take necessary steps for maintaining supply line of various essentials during the current winter spell at reasonable and fixed rates and initiate stringent action against the hoarders and black marketers.
