JAMMU, Jan 21: The Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the New Delhi based Western Air Command (WAC) of Indian Air Force (IAF), Air Marshal S S Soman has conferred his Commendation Card along with a Citation upon Deputy Commissioner Leh, Simrandeep Singh for displaying great dedication and involvement, resulting in praiseworthy contribution to the Indian Air force in developing key infrastructure and installations in the strategic Ladakh sector during the year 2014.
The citation was presented to the DC by the Senior Air Staff Officer (SASO) of WAC, Air Marshal, B Suresh, at HQ, WAC, Subroto Park, New Delhi.
It may be recalled that earlier in 2014, Lt Gen D S Hooda, GOC-in-C of the Udhampur based Northern Army Command had conferred his Commendation and Citation upon Mr Singh for his proactive support to the Indian Army and for maintaining extremely cordial Civil-Military relations in the Ladakh region.
It is worth mentioning that both the Army and the Air Force have developed key defence infrastructure in the past two years in Ladakh sector in which the civil administration played a very vital role.
