JAMMU, Jan 21: Two class 12th students got killed, when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a tipper near Sohal area in tehsil Akhnoor today.
As per police sources, two class 12th students got seriously injured, when the motorcycle (JK02BF-6391), they were riding on collided with a tipper bearing registration number JK02BA-3547 near Sohal area in tehsil Akhnoor this evening.
Both the bikers were rushed to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Akhnoor, where doctors pronounced them as brought dead.
The victims have been identified as Vishal Sharma, son of Harbans Lala and Gagan, son of Som Nath, both residents of Pallwan, Akhnoor. The deceased were returning home after appearing in the class 12 examination (bi-annual).
Acting swiftly, police team from Akhnoor police station led by SHO Kuldeep Kumar under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh arrested the tipper driver, who has been identified as Bua Ditta, son of Milkhi Ram, a resident of Chak Karpalpur.
A case under FIR number 14/15 under Section 279 and 304-A RPC has been registered at Akhnoor police station and investigation started.
