7 injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Jan 22: Seven persons were injured in separate road mishaps in this winter capital of the State and its outskirts.
A 50-year old man identified as Vijay Kumar son of Nand Lal, a resident of Bagh-e-Bahu was hit and injured by an Alto car at Bus Stand near Samrat Hotel when he was riding on his scooty towards Vikram Chowk, this morning.
In another mishap that occurred at Bus Stand near petrol pump, a car hit a bike and left injured its rider namely Dhavinder Singh son of Paramjeet Singh of Karan Bagh (Satwari).
A man identified as Hanif (50) son of Mohd Ismail, a resident of Gujjar Nagar was also injured in a collision between a Scorpio car and a bus, which took place this afternoon at Bus Stand area.
A pedestrian identified as Musha Begum (47) wife of Mohd Hussain of Sarsa in Doda was also injured when a motorcycle hit her while crossing the road near Science College.
At Kanachak area of city outskirts, a lady identified as Renu (46) wife of Sat Pal, a resident of Prem Nagar (Jammu) injured in a collision between a car and a tractor.
A motorcyclist identified as Vipin Bhat (26) son of Virji Bhat, a resident of Vinayak Nagar (Muthi) also injured after his bike got slipped near Green Land Palace in Muthi area.
In another road mishap at upper Paloura near Jaggi Darbar, a young girl identified as Sucheta Gupta daughter of Anil Gupta, a resident of Bakshi Nagar suffered injuries when her scooty rammed into a tree after she lost control over it.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment.
In all cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
