HRD Ministry award for Shakir’s book

Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Jan 23: Union Ministry of Human Reso-urce Devel-opment has selected book ‘Jammu Kay Pracheen Mandir’ written by Kewal Krishan Shakir for Rs one lakh cash prize and citation. The Union Ministry informed Shakir about the selection of his book for cash prize and citation through a communication received by him in writing. The communication was signed by Prof Keshari Lal Verma, Chairman, Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology and Director of Central Hindi Directorate. Dr Shakir has several publications to his credit and is winner of various national and state awards from various organizations, the latest one being from the Government of India.
