JAMMU, Jan 25: A meeting to chalk out modalities to participate in SATTE, New Delhi from January 29 to 31, 2015 and OTM, Mumbai from February 4 to 6, 2015 by the Trade Fraternity of Jammu was held today under the chairmanship of R. K. Varma, Director Tourism, Jammu.
It was decided after deliberations that to overcome the affects of devastating floods in Kashmir and border firing in Jammu region, the Tourism Department will sponsor travel and trade fraternity of J&K by providing them free air travel to the said venues so that they have direct interaction with the travel trade organizations of other States and countries in order to promote tourism of the State. Besides this, organizing of Jammu Trade and Travel Fair (JTTF) was also discussed with the representatives of the travel and trade associations.
The meeting was attended by many officers of Tourism Department besides representatives of tour and travel fraternity.
