Tricycles distributed under PM’s National Relief Fund

JAMMU, Jan 27: Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti Jaipur and Sultan-ul-Aarifeen Artificial Limb and Caliper Fitment Centre Srinagar in collaboration JRC Home for Handicapped,Udheywala and Viklang Chhata Trust organised two day camp at JRC Home, which concluded today.
Twenty specially designed tricycles were distributed amongst the physiclly challenged persons of Jammu Region during the camp.
Latif  Pandit, Manager, BMVSS Srinagar said that these tricycles were provided to the beneficiaries under the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
Earlier the camp was inaugurated by Rajinder Gupta, a philanthropist who distributed the tricycles to the polio victims belonging  to border areas of Jammu district.
Satya Pal Saraf, organiser, VCT, disclosed that a week long mega camp for the fitment of artificial Jaipur Foot/Limb and caliper shall be organised in collaboration with BMVSS in the third week of March for which registration of the patients will begin on first February at JRC Home and VCT Akhnoor. Appropriate provision of free tricyles and wheel chairs shall also be made to fulfill the requirements of the polio victims, he added.
Among others present were J Chhatrapal and Satish Sharma, Secretary and Joint secretary of JRC Home respectively and KK Verma, President, J&K Handicapped Welfare Association.
