JWAM holds protest over traffic chaos

JAMMU, Jan 27: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held protest demonstrations at various spots on Rehari Chungi, Amphalla and Janipur-High Court Road against the failure of the Government and the traffic department to solve the rising traffic problem in the Jammu city.
Hundreds of irate employees, students, prominent citizens, traders, residents of various localities followed by JWAM activists under the leadership of JWAM president, Sunil Dimple came on roads and protested against the rising traffic jams in the city and its outskirts.
Addressing the protestors, Dimple lambasted the Government for not constructing flyover from Rehari Chungi to Jewal Chowk. He alleged that successive Governments during last 20 years have done nothing on ground to improve the traffic scenario in Jammu city.
He demanded starting of metro rail, mono rail and construction of circular roads to solve the traffic problem faced by the people of Jammu city and urged Governor NN Vohra to take strong steps in this direction.
