JAMMU : Three members of a family were found dead under mysterious circumstances in a hotel room at Katra town of Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir. The staff of Hotel Shripati this morning informed police that where a family which checked in last night was not anwwering the door despite frequent knocking. Following this a team was rushed to the spot, Ajay Bhat Station House Officer, Katra Police Station here told. Mr Bhat said the door was broke opened and all three members of the family were found dead under mysterious circumstances.
There was no injury mark on the bodies,” the SHO said. He added that the bodies were shifted to Katra Hospital for post-mortem.
The deceased were identified as Satish Verma (40), his wife Monika (30) and nine-year-old son Dheeraj. “It could be a poison case, but we have initiated the investigations under section 174 of CrPC,” the police officer added.
