JAMMU, Jan 28: According to Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control Department, Jammu, all the major canals including Ranbir canal, New Partap canal, Kathua canal and other canals/ khuls have been closed with effect from January 28.
In this regard all the concerned Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers of the department have been directed to take up all the closure works including desilting and urgent repairs of canals and its network, wherever necessary, immediately and ensure their completion well before the recharge of these canals.
