Reduce bus fare

Sir,
Whenever there was increase in petrol prices, the private transporters went on a protest demanding increase in bus fares. Their demands being considered as genuinue were generally conceeded by the concerned authorities.
It would not take much time for these authorities to raise bus fare to the delight of transporters and dismay of passangers. This increase in turn would affect all day-to-day items like foodgrains, vegetables and other items.
Now, when the Central Government has reduced the prices of diesel and petrol five to six times, it is astonishing that the public transporters are still charging the rates fixed by the Government last time. As such it is requested to the concerned authorities to slash down the fare charge and fix new reduced rates for which the general public will heave a sigh of relief.
Besides, the auto-rikshaws be directed to charges fares as per meter. Those found violating the law be punished according to the law of the land.
Yours etc…
