Pensioners serve one-month ultimatum to Govt

JAMMU, July 30: Jammu Kashmir Pensioners Association strongly condemned the callous attitude of the Government towards settlement of their demands.
The core committee meeting of the association was held under the chairmanship of its president Govind Ram Sharma, in which various issues pertaining to the pensioners were discussed.
While speaking, Sharma demanded payment of sixth pay commission arrears in two installments, constitution of anomaly committee to rationalize the monetary benefits of revision of pay scale, enhancement in medical allowance to Rs 1,000, consideration of left over provision of pensionary benefits, besides other demands.
The association has served one-month ultimatum to Government to solve the issues otherwise pensioners and family pensioners will lodge a strong protest.
Among others present were ND Sharma, Jagdish Dogra, Swarn Singh, Ram Lal Sharma, AS Gupta, Dessa Singh, OP Gupta, KL Basotra, Kamal Bhardwaj, SL Gandotra, Jagdish Raj Sharma, etc.
