Sir,
We all know there have been many corruption scandals involving the top-brass of the country. This has triggered massive public retaliation and response. In our fight against corruption more and more agencies have come forward and joined the battle in the eradication of corruption. The media and some voluntarily organisations have exposed number of corrupt officials and are working earnestly against the menace. We cannot expect to create a better tomorrow as one corrupt official will be replaced by another one. A major cause for degradation across all sections of society is that most professionals today are disconnected from the fundamental purpose of their profession.
We need to raise peoples personal standards as they are the foundation of a society. If individuals are responsive to the call of their conscience we will need very little effort to sustain peace harmony and growth. The need of the hour is to awaken goodness in individuals through moral classes in schools colleges and through various channels of media. NGOs that work towards the cause should also be brought together. The Vigilance Organisation need to be made vibrant. It is also important to restore value system in the society and have to be far-sighted planners. We must choose the right means of attain right-ends.
Yours etc….
S N Raina
