Rs 10 crore assets seized in raid at Executive Engg’s house

UJJAIN, July 31:
Lokayukta police today conducted a raid at the house of an Executive Engineer here and seized cash and assets worth nearly Rs 10 crore, disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Acting on a tip-off, the Lokayukta police conducted the raid at the house of Ujjain Development Authority executive engineer, Hukum Singh Patidar and recovered assets worth about Rs 10 crore including Rs 1.50 lakh cash, Lokayukta’s Deputy Superintendent of Police O P Sangoriya said.
Apart from cash, documents relating to a hospital, a cold storage and 50 acres land in Indore, a farm house and a pathology lab at Shiparkhedi and another farm house and a shop at Ghatiya in his or his family members’ name were also recovered during the raid.
Patidar joined the service in 1996 and the property which he possessed, could not be purchased from his total salary in any way, Sangoriya said. (PTI)
