MENDHAR, Feb 3: People from the town assisted by Sanatan Dharam Sabha, VHP and Bajrang Dal members lodged their strong protest with the SDM Mendhar against encroachment on local Shamshan Ghat road by some people.
Led by local SD Sabha president Satish Sharma and D K Tandon, Hanuman Mandir Committee chief, the people earlier held protest near the temple and then moved to the Sub Divisional Magistrate’s office and expressed their strong resentment over the alleged encroachment by some people on the old existing `Shamshan Ghat’ road. They alleged that some locals in connivance with the Revenue officials and police were involved in illegal construction on the cremation ground road. The SDM issued instructions to Tehsildar and police to take immediate action in this regard. He also initiated an inquiry into the matter.
