Deputation of Gole villagers calls on Divisional Commissioner

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Feb 4: A deputation led by social activist Balvinder Singh,  along with the peoples from Gole Gujral and adjoining localities Like Gole, Trilokpur, Ranjitpur etc falling under the Niabat Gole,  called upon Divisional Commissioner Jammu. Delegation alleged that the authorities concerned have done a great injustice to the people of 10 villages falling under the Gole Niabat while creating New administrative units. People’s of all the 10 villages had to cover the maximum distance of 0- 2 Km to reach the Patwari, Naib Tehsildar and the Tehsil office, but the newly created units have added miseries to the peoples of these villages and are forced to travel 12-15 Kms to reach the new Niabat of Shahjadpur, which is beyond the understanding of the peoples of the effected villages.
Gole Niabat being a centrally located place was the most suited to all the 10 villagers and keeping in view the objective of creating new administrative units for providing facilities at  door steps,  as claimed by the administration. People’s of the said villages were expecting Gole Niabat to be elevated to Tehsil level but order issued by the revenue authorities was shocking and surprising for the peoples of the said localities.
The delegation appealed the Divisional Commissioner to take up the matter with the higher Revenue authorities so that these 10 villages be detached from the newly created Niabat Shahjadpur and be made part of the previous  Gole Niabat (as prior to the new order) Prominent among the deputationists include Raj Kumar Sarpanch Trilokpur, S. Harcharan Singh Chairman Ajit Colony Welfare Committee, S. Sharanjit Singh (Shunty) S. Harvinder Singh Naib Sarpanch, Dr Arun Jandial, S. Paramjit Singh Pammi, S. Surmeet Singh, Gari Lal Panch and Kaku Ram.
