Jammu, Feb 5: In a PIL filed by one Ganesh Sharma seeking construction of District Court Complex in Samba, A Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir observed that In compliance of order dated 10.12.2014 status report as filed was noticed not to be satisfactory as recorded in order dated 17.12.2014. As a sequel thereto, Registrar General of this Court was directed to take steps to ensure that needful is done and proposal be sent to the concerned quarter within one week.
Division Bench further observed that Confronted with the said position, Sr. AAG Gagan Basotra submits that two weeks’ time may be granted for filing the fresh status report which shall be in tune with the directions issued on 10.12.2014 where by earlier Division Bench directed to file status report highlighting the road map for commencement of the construction of the Judicial Court Complex including the amendment to be carried out in the site plan to avoid journey of litigants to the Court Complex through village peripheral area,. In the process, if the respondent- authorities require any co-operation or assistance from the Registrar General, shall also be obtained.
