NEW DELHI:
It was another chilly morning in Delhi with minimum temperature dropping further and dense fog delaying over 30 trains but the mercury soared as the day progressed settling two notches above normal.
“The sky was mainly clear during the day. The maximum temperature recorded was 24.5 degree Celsius while the minimum settled at 7 degrees, two notches below yesterday’s 9.6 degrees Celsius,” a MeT official said.
The humidity levels oscillated between 97 and 32 per cent.
According to a Northern Railway official, around 32 north -bound trains were running behind schedule due to dense fog in morning hours.
The weatherman has predicted a partly cloudy day for tomorrow.
“The sky will be partly cloudy tomorrow with moderate/shallow fog in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle at 24 and 9 degrees Celsius, respectively,” the official said.
“Light rain or thundershowers might occur in some areas later in the evening,” he added.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 22.6 degrees Celsius while the minimum had settled at 9.6 degrees Celsius. (AGENCIES)
