RAJOURI, Feb 6: Police recovered a minor girl who was allegedly kidnapped by a youth hailing from Khawas area of Kotranka today.
A police official said that 16-year-old Zubeda (name changed), daughter of one Mohd Arif, hailing from Hasprot area of Thannamandi was allegedly kidnapped by one Shakeel Ahmed (24), son of Abdul Ghani, resident of Khawas on January 26. The family members kept searching for the girl and later lodged report with the Thannamandi police on January 28, alleging that their daughter has been kidnapped by Shakeel, who used to work in the nearby house in the same locality.
The police registered an FIR and started investigation. Today, police party led by SHO Thannamandi Nazir Wani recovered the girl from a village in Khawas area. The girl after medical examination was restored to the family. The youth has been arrested.
