APS, Damana celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Feb 6: Army Public School (APS) Damana celebrated Annual Day on the theme ‘Sohard’ -a state of tranquility, absence of violence and oppression, organized at Gen Zorawar Singh Auditorium with gaiety and fervor, today.
On this occasion, Brig Prabir Barik, Chairman of the school was the chief guest and Nandita Barik Chairperson FWO was the guest of honour.
The function, which was declared open by the chief guest, guest of honour and Principal with lighting of the traditional lamp, was attended by a large number of VIPs, Army and civil officers, Principals of different schools, parents, students and other guests.
It was followed by the presentation of the school annual report by Dr Renu Gupta, Principal of the School by highlighting the academic achievements and all round development of the school through quality education, use of technological innovations, counseling sessions and development of communicative skills.
The school students attired in colourful costumes presented a wonderful cultural programme full of various enticements which mesmerized the audience.
The Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the meritorious students and achievers. Dr Renu Gupta, Principal APS Damana was conferred with, COAS Commendation award by Maj Gen BS Daulta, MD AWES for rendering meritorious services and commendable efforts for the progress of the students and the school.
The chief guest also released the Annual School Magazine ‘Prairna’ on this occasion.
The vote of thanks was presented by Gurdeep Kaur, Senior Scale level co-ordinator of the school conveying sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest, Guest of honour, officers, parents and other dignitaries for making the function a grand success.
The programme ended with the National Anthem.
