BCE organizes awareness program on ‘Road Safety’

UDHAMPUR, Feb 6: Bhartiya College of Education (BCE) organized an awareness programme on “Road Safety” in collaboration with ARTO Udhampur.
While speaking ARTO Udhampur laid stress on the importance of observance of traffic rules as the country is seeing lot of everyday traffic accidents wherein we lose our near and dear ones.
He added that nearly 7000 accidents happened in Jammu during the last two years wherein 7500 people got injured and many lost their lives. He also added that death toll in case of road accidents is more than that of terror attacks.
Sunil Saini, Inspector, MVD, presented the comparison of adherence of road safety rules in USA and India by showing various videos. He said that it is necessary for driver to wear seat belts and to avoid using ear buds while driving and obey the traffic rules.
