JAMMU, Feb 7: Criticizing the inaction and the stoic silence of the Relief Commissioner (M) with regard to the redressal of the problems already highlighted in the memorandum submitted to him, BJP Kashmir Unit said that it was sad and distressing story that the problems of every displaced member are being multiplied day in and day out by the concerned authorities, adding that this rigid attitude of the authorities has led to the miseries of the Displaced Community whose problems have compounded over the years.
This statement was issued after a meeting of the members of BJP J&K Kashmir Displaced Unit held under the chairmanship of its president TN Bhat to take stock of the problems being faced by the Community at Sarwal Office, here today.
The members said that their earnest appeal to the present political dispensation both in the State and the Centre was to give a serious thought to the problems such as enhancement of cash assistance, bifurcation of ration cards, supply of standard ration to the migrant ration depots, medical facility, water facility, uninterrupted power supply and availability of all essential commodities in all camps and non-camps keeping in view the ensuing festival of Maha Shivratri.
Appealing the Govt for conducting the deferred interviews of teachers and lab-assistants under PM’s package at an earliest, the members warned to resort an an agitational path if the interviews are not held immediately, adding that their patience must not be construed as their weakness but their magnanimity because of the predominant instinct of being law abiding citizens of India.
