SRINAGAR, Feb 7: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Rohit Kansal, today inspected the functioning of city’s premier health institutions including Lal Ded Maternity Hospital, JLNM Hospital and reviewed their functioning.
The Divisional Commissioner was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman, Principal Government Medical College Srinagar, Dr. Rafiq Pampori and other concerned officers.
Mr. Kansal took round of various wards of these hospitals and enquired about the facilities including medicines and heating facilities being provided to the patients.
He interacted with the patients and their attendants and enquired about the facilities being provided to them by the hospital administration.
The Administrators of these health institutions apprised him about the problems being faced by the hospital authorities in running these institutions. He assured to take up the issues with the concerned authorities for timely redressal.
The Div Com also inspected various high-tech diagnostic machines procured recently for the Lal Ded Hospital. He also inspected latest Eco machine only second in country for cardiac patients at JLNM Hospital Rainawari. He urged the doctors and paramedics to work with devotion to mitigate the suffering of the patients.
