RAMBAN, Feb 8: Historical Dak Banglow was damaged in fire this afternoon at tehsil Banihal.
As per police sources, fire was seen billowing out from the historical Dak Banglow this afternoon at tehsil Banihal.
After getting information, police rushed to the spot and fire tenders from Banihal, Ramban and Qazigund along with fire-fighters were pressed into service to douse the flames.
After hectic efforts, the fire was brought under control but till then four rooms got partially damaged.
No casualty or injury has been reported in the incident, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
According to official spokesman of Department of Fire and Emergency Services, Banihal, the fire broke out due to short circuit.
A case in this regard has been registered at Banihal police station and investigation started.
