Army organises Educational tour

SRINAGAR, Feb 8: Army’s Chinar Corps today flagged off a motivational-cum-educational tour from Panzgam to  Srinagar-Jammu-Pune-Mumbai and back. The tour is being conducted from Feb 8 till Feb 28 for 18 School children and two teachers belonging to Kupwara district.
The aim of the tour is to provide an opportunity to the poor and under privileged children of rural areas to visit new places and witness the diverse Indian culture and as a result help in their overall personality development.
The tour programme includes visits to various military establishments of NDA (Khadakwasala), Bombay Engineers Centre in Kirkee, Ordinance factory, Pune.  These children will also be taken to Naval Dockyard Colaba and will also get an opportunity to see the Indian Navy air craft carrier INS Vikrant.  They will also be interacting with important dignitaries of army and civil diaspora.
In addition to the above program the students will visit places like Bagh-e-Bahu Fort, Singhad Fort, Gate Way of India, Marine Drive, Jahangir Gallery, Hazi Ali Dargah, Elephanta caves, Sanjay Gandhi National Park and Nehru Planetarium etc.
The tour will be flagged in on Feb 28 in presence of parents, guardians and civil administration official of Kupwara of touring children.
