JAMMU, Feb 9: A meeting of Ex-Policemen League, district, Jammu was held at District Police Lines, Jammu, today, wherein they discussed issues pertaining to welfare of retired policemen.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of K S Sambyal, SP retd, president of the league. During comprehensive discussion speakers expressed that some of the retirees are in the grip of serious ailment, requiring earthy treatment which they cannot afford and desired that Medical allowance should be enchanced from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month.
During the meeting it was also decided that the executive body of district committee members will approach DGP, to request for suitable accommodation for office use.
Others present in the meeting were Chirag-ud-Din, Makhan LalSharma, Ch Bachan Singh, R K Bali, Yudhvir Anand, Durga Dass, Som Raj Dutta, M L Mathur, Parshotam Lal Bali, Mohd Saleem, Balwant Singh Jamwal and Surjit Singh Jamwal.
