JAMMU, Feb 10: Demanding revision of passenger fares, National Panthers Student Union (NPSU) activists held a protest demonstration at the office of Transport Commissioner, here today.
The students, led by NPSU president, Thakur Virender Singh, raised slogans against the Chief Secretary and the Transport Commissioner seeking immediate reduction in transport charges and passenger fares.
Addressing the gathering, Virender said that despite considerable decrease in prices of petrol and diesel, the State Government had failed to reduce the passenger fares and to fix them in conformity with the reduced oil prices.
