JAMMU, Feb 10: J&K Teacher’s Welfare Association has appealed the Director School Education Jammu to suitably adjust the repatriated Masters in their home districts.
The appeal was made by the Association president Jasmeet Singh Madaan during a meeting of JKTWA, held today.
While explaining, Mr Jasmeet said that all the repatriated Masters have served in many inaccessible areas of hilly districts with the hope that they would be adjusted suitably in their home districts after completion of their tenure, but as soon as they came back, the worst era of darkness and corruption had already engulfed the department so much that exorbitant rates were fixed for transfers and adjustments.
He also listed examples of some Masters, particularly female teachers, who were not adjusted on repatriation because they could not grease the palms of agents and corrupt officers.
J&K Teacher’s Welfare Association hailed detachments but the repatriated Masters must be adjusted suitably, Jasmeet said and hoped that the new Director would sympathetically look into the genuine cases and do justice with the aggrieved Masters.
