Cultural troupe of JU leaves for Indore

JAMMU, Feb 11: Cultural troupe of the University left for participation in the five -day 30th Inter University National Youth Festival. The event is scheduled to be held at Devi Ahilya University, Indore from February 12 to 16, 2015.
The 30 member cultural troupe would be  performing seven events which include skit, western group song, western vocal solo, Indian group song, Indian classical vocal solo, debate and installation.
Dr Ab Rashid Manhas, Assistant Dean (SW) and Dr Kavita Suri, Department of Lifelong Learning, are the Male and Female Teachers Incharge respectively whereas Sumeet Sharma, Drama Instructor is also accompanying the team.
In 30th North Zone Inter University Youth Festival UDGHOSH-2015, University of Jammu participated in 22 events out of 25 and qualified for seven events in National Youth Festival.
Before leaving the Campus for National Youth Festival, the participants were invited by Vice Chancellor, Prof RD Sharma for an interaction with the students.
The Participating students included Kaneesh, Aashima, Rachita, Sunidhi, Mridul, Sanyam, Samita, Deepika, Sonali, Aradhna, Rakesh, Sumeet, Raghav, Mukteshi, Zain, Sahil and Jasvinder.
Prof Pankaj K Srivastava, is a special invitee as the Cultural Coordinator, 30th Inter University North Zone Youth Festival and is also accompanying the team.
