Beig may head PDP team for talks

JAMMU, Feb 11: The PDP is reported to have finalised names of five members team to be headed by former Deputy Chief Minister and Lok Sabha member Muzaffar Hussain Beig to hold talks with the BJP to formulate the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) for formation of new Government in the State.
Apart from Beig, the other team members could include Tariq Hameed Qarra, Lok Sabha member from Srinagar and former Finance Minister, Dr Haseeb Drabu and Syed Altaf Bukhari, both MLAs and Nayeem Akhter, MLC and chief spokesperson of the PDP, reliable sources said.
The BJP is yet to name its team.
Sources said only after the BJP names its members that the former talks would start between the two parties for framing the CMP.
As reported, the BJP has agreed that PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed will be the Chief Minister of PDP-BJP Government for full term of six years.
