JAMMU, Feb 12: Sikh United Front (SUF), J&K has urged upon the upcoming new Kejriwal Government in Delhi to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe anti-Sikh riots in Delhi.
Addressing press conference here today Avtar Singh Khalsa, general secretary of the Front said that time has come to punish those who are guilty of the Sikh massacre during 1984 riots. He congratulated Mr Kejriwal for his party’s land sliding and historical victory and maintained that he and AAP candidates had assured the community during their campaign to hold probe into anti-Sikh riots and punish the guilty.
Mr Khalsa also criticized Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal for his double policy for campaigning in favour of BJP in Delhi during the recent elections alongside the anti-Sikh so called Baba Ram Rahim. Khalsa appealed to the Jathedar of Shri Akal Takhat Sahib to summon Akali Dal leadership at the Holy Takhat and punish the anti-Panthak Akali leadership for being partner of Baba Ram Rahim in the campaign.
Chief organizer of BKNSS and former member of DGPC Jammu Mohinder Singh also spoke on the occasion and criticised Akali leadership for its dual policy. He warned Akali Dal that Pandhak forces will give befitting reply to the Akali leadership of Punjab.
