JAMMU, Feb 15: The owner of Hotel Asia Harjinder Singh Anand passed away today following brief illness.
He was 74 and is survived by his mother, wife, brother, daughter and two sons.
The cremation will take place at Shastri Nagar cremation ground tomorrow at 12:30 pm.
Mr Harjinder was Chairman of Bharat Small Arms Private Limited, Kathua, Chairman of Shripati Hotels Private Limited and Owner of Popular Gun works.
He was also Vice President of Hotel Association of Northern India, Director of J&K Bank and Chairman of Guru Nanak Mission Hospital.
Hotel Asia Jammu Tawi, Jammu came into operation in the year 1976 and with the efforts of Mr Anand, the Hotel was classified as 1st 4 Star Hotel in Jammu by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
