JAMMU, Feb 15: PDP MLA and former Minister Abdul Rehman Veeri has appealed the Government to ensure proper water and power supply in migrant camps and other areas on the occasion of Maha Shivratri on February 16 and 17.
He also appealed the PHE Department to ensure the proper water supply during the festival period.
Mr Veeri who was interacting with the displaced Pandits from his Constituency here today expressed the hope that the holy festival will bring peace and prosperity in the State. He while greeting the Pandits on the occasion of Maha Shivratri said that J&K people have a tradition of celebrating the festivals jointly and expressed the hope that the day will not be far away when Pandits will celebrate this day in Valley as they used to celebrate prior to 1989.
