CAPD imposes fine for misuse of LPG cylinders

JAMMU, Feb 15: The CAPD Department in a special drive launched against misuse of domestic LPG cylinders booked 26 establishments and imposed heavy fine on the violators.
The team led by Dy Director (Supplies) Atam Dev Singh on the direction of Director CAPD GS Chib inspected 75 business established in last two days in various parts of Jammu city including Gandhi Nagar, Digiana, Gangyal, Gadigarh, Muthi and New Plot and Nagrota and booked 26 defaulters. A fine of over Rs 14,000 was realized from them for misuse of domestic LPG cylinders and violating various other provisions of Essential Commodities act. The Director also appealed the public to forward their complaints to the department on the toll free Nos 0191- 2502609, 1967.
