KATHUA, Feb 15: Three people were killed while one was seriously injured in two separate road accidents today.
According to reports two persons were killed while another was seriously injured when an Alto car bearing number UP82 M2379 in which they were traveling from Vijaypur to Ramgarh late last night hit a culvert near Bana Chak more.
They were identified as Ashwani Kumar, S/o Saawat Singh of Bhagoli UP and Anuj Kumar, S/o Dhan Parkash of Muzafar Nagar UP. Both of them died on spot. The injured person namely Nitin Kumar S/o Diwakar of Holian UP was seriously injured in the accident, police said.
He was first taken to Ramgarh hospital by police where the doctors referred him to GMC, Jammu in a serious condition.
The Ramgarh police has registered a case under FIR No. 11/2015 under Section 279/337/304 RPC.
The dead bodies were handed over to their relatives after postmortem.
In another accident a passenger died after felling down from a bus in which he was traveling at Basantpur this morning.
According to police, Omkar Sharma, 45, S/o Thoru Ram of village Chadwal who was traveling in a bus bearing number JK02BA 0995 which was on its way from Jammu to Basohli died after the window of the bus opened automatically and he fell down on the road.
He was taken to hospital by the driver of the bus where he succumbed to his injuries.
Lakhanpur Police has registered a case under Section 279/304 and arrested the driver of the bus.
