Woman bootlegger arrested

JAMMU, Feb 17: Keeping vigil over sale of liquor on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, Narwal police arrested a woman bootlegger from Rajiv Nagar.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Narwal police post arrested a woman bootlegger from Rajiv Nagar.
The woman bootlegger has been identified as Popy, wife of late Madan, a resident of Rajiv Nagar.
Police recovered 70 pouches and 20 bottlers of illicit liquor. The woman bootlegger was selling the liquor among the people despite dry day today.
A case under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Narwal police post and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Narwal police post SI Nayat Ali made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
