JAMMU, Feb 17: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) in collaboration of with BLSKS and IVF presented a solo Hindi play ‘Haw Bhaw Achhey Hain’ here at Janipur in its Monday Theatre Series.
The play was based on the importance of girl child in our society. The story revolves around a well educated couple who is expecting a child in their life.
The daughter-in-law is tired of the comments passed by her mother-in-law who is anxious to get a grand- son. The daughter-in-law tries her best to convince her that there is no difference between son and daughter but her mother- in-law being illiterate remains stick to her wish of getting a grand-son.
Finally, the couple decides to take help of her (mother-in-law’s) daughters who are already married. They create “drama” that one of her daughter has been thrown out of her husband’s house because she has constantly delivered two daughters and not any son.
When the daughter reveals fake story of torture by her in laws, she (mother-in-law) feels sorry to all the members and takes oath that she will never discriminate between male and female child.
The play was written and directed by Vijay Malla and he was assisted by Anuroop Pathania.
The actors who enacted were Anuroop Pathania and Surbhi Mahajan.
