Shiv Khori Mela concludes

REASI : The three day annual Shiv Khori Mela held at Ransoo concluded today.
Deputy Commissioner Reasi-Sushma Chauhan, who is also Vice Chairman SSKSB, informed that for the comfortable stay of yatris, Shivkhori Shrine Board and Tourism Department had created adequate lodging facilities at base camp, Ransoo. She said that the festivals have their own significance in strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and fraternity among the masses.
The Shivratri festival has its own importance in the religious ceremonies of the State and it also provides an opportunity of get together to the people of various parts of the State.
On the eve of Mahashivratri, Vishesh Pooja followd by Puran-Auhuti by known Pandits was performed, besides chanting of religious hymns in the praise of Lord Shiva at the Cave Shrine since Monday evening.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shiv Kumar Gupta and Executive Officer Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board Babu Ram Choudhary remained stationed at the mela site to oversee arrangements of boarding, lodging, sanitation, medicare, electricity and drinking water supply besides foolproof arrangements of security made by Reasi Police.
